Pinus Radiata Sawmills New Zealand

"With large areas of suitable land, and the development of unique
forest-management techniques, New Zealand is leading
the world in the supply of quality softwood timber"

R. H. Tregoweth Ltd is a long-established member of the New Zealand timber industry.

The business was established in 1946 to produce native timbers by the present owner's grandfather, Richard H. Tregoweth.

We have since grown into a mature and well-established company with a variety of sawmilling and processing facilities.

Today the mill specialises in pruned Radiata Pine, a sustainable native species that originated in California.

We are still a privately-owned, family-run business, and R. H. Tregoweth Ltd is operated under General Manager Kevin Tregoweth. Being privately owned we take pride in our independence, believing there's an important role to play for medium-size, family-owned sawmills.

We are located in Te Kuiti, a town of 5,000 in the central North Island. The Te Kuiti area is renowned for its forestry, glow worm caves, limestone formations, shearing capital, lush pastures and tourism.
